Jean-Michel Jarre's Oxygene & Beyond arena tour hits Amsterdam's Gashouder for three nights in 2027
Jean-Michel Jarre has announced Oxygene & Beyond, an arena tour celebrating 50 years of Oxygene. The European leg runs from Katowice on 21 September 2027 to Barcelona on 24 October 2027, with three nights at Amsterdam's Gashouder on 6, 7 and 8 October, and the tour continues worldwide into 2028.
Jean-Michel Jarre is taking Oxygene back into arenas. The French electronic pioneer has announced Oxygene & Beyond, a tour marking 50 years since the 1976 album that helped bring synthesizer music into the mainstream. The European leg opens at Spodek in Katowice on 21 September 2027 and closes at Palau Sant Jordi in Barcelona on 24 October 2027, with the tour continuing around the world into 2028.
The route runs through Poland, with Katowice, Lodz and Gdansk, then Cluj in Romania and Budapest, before Berlin's Uber Arena on 2 October and Prague's O2 Arena on 3 October. Amsterdam gets three nights at the Gashouder on 6, 7 and 8 October, followed by Forest National in Brussels on 11 October, La Seine Musicale in Paris, The O2 in London on 19 October and Co-op Live in Manchester on 21 October.
This is not only a nostalgia run. Reports say the set will include music from a new Jarre album due in spring 2027, so Oxygene works as the hook while new material gets an arena stage. Ticket sales are opening city by city in late October, with presale and general sale dates varying by venue, so fans should check each venue's own ticketing.
The Gashouder booking stands out. A room better known for techno marathons and ADE showcases is hosting a legacy electronic act for three consecutive nights, which says a lot about how strong demand for audiovisual electronic shows remains in Amsterdam. It also follows the playbook of other heritage electronic acts: fewer markets, multiple nights in the right room, and a production that is sold as an event rather than a gig.
For artists working in live electronics, the lesson is in the framing. Jarre is using an anniversary to package a catalogue, a new album and a visual show into one story that promoters can sell. Even at club level, an anniversary of a first release, a label or a residency can give a tour a reason to exist beyond "new dates".
For agents and promoters, an autumn 2027 arena run across ten countries also means busy calendars in those rooms. If you are routing large scale audiovisual shows in Europe that autumn, check holds early.
