Insomniac and ADE launch Map Point Summit, a Las Vegas rave conference for EDC week 2027
Map Point Summit is a new three day dance music conference from Insomniac and Amsterdam Dance Event. Its first edition runs in May 2027 at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas, between the two weekends of EDC Las Vegas on 14 to 16 and 21 to 23 May. Speakers, schedule and tickets have not been announced yet.
Amsterdam Dance Event is taking its conference model to Las Vegas. ADE and Insomniac have announced Map Point Summit, a new three day gathering for the dance music industry that debuts in May 2027 at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas. It lands in the gap between the two weekends of EDC Las Vegas, which run from 14 to 16 May and 21 to 23 May 2027.
The idea was presented in Amsterdam last week. Insomniac founder and CEO Pasquale Rotella introduced the concept during his keynote at ADE's 30th edition, titled "The Future of Rave Culture and Why It Needs Its Own Industry". The name nods to the old rave practice of map points, where partygoers were sent to a meeting spot before being directed to an undisclosed location.
According to the organisers, the programme will mix industry conversations, educational sessions, creative workshops and networking, alongside a playable music tech expo. The stated focus is on independent promoters and emerging talent rather than only the biggest players. Speakers, the full schedule and ticket details have not been released yet, and people can register their interest through the official site.
For European artists and managers, the timing is the interesting part. EDC week already pulls a large share of the electronic industry to Las Vegas, and a conference sitting between the two festival weekends gives agents, labels and promoters a reason to stay in town for the week between them. That is the same logic that made ADE work in Amsterdam: put the business side right next to the shows, and meetings happen naturally.
It also confirms a shift we keep seeing: ADE is no longer only a week in October but a brand that travels. A conference in the US with Insomniac behind it gives European acts a new door into the American market, and gives US promoters a curated room to meet artists they would normally only see on an ADE schedule.
If you are planning a US push for 2027, put May in the calendar now. Watch for the speaker and showcase announcements over the winter, and think about which meetings you would want in that week before the room fills up.
