Sven Väth takes T.R.A.N.C.E. on a winter world tour, with an ambient Gashouder night in Amsterdam
Sven Väth's T.R.A.N.C.E. Winter Tour runs from late October to New Year's Eve 2026. It opened in Vienna and Zurich, then moves through Costa Rica, Medellín, Buenos Aires, Time Warp Mexico City and New York, Resistance at London's Drumsheds and Pacha Munich, closing at Womb Tokyo on 31 December.
Sven Väth is closing 2026 the way he has spent most of his career: on the road, in a lot of different rooms. The Cocoon founder has laid out the full run of his T.R.A.N.C.E. Winter Tour, which started at Grelle Forelle in Vienna on 23 October and Frieda's Büchse in Zurich on 24 October, and ends at Womb in Tokyo on New Year's Eve.
The routing is a useful snapshot of where a heritage techno headliner earns and builds in winter. After the European opener, Väth flies to Costa Rica for Vertigo in San José on 30 October and Ritvales Festival in Medellín on 31 October. November brings Lausanne, Verona and Mayday in Katowice, then a Buenos Aires double with Deseo on 13 November and Creamfields on 14 November, followed by Time Warp Mexico City on 20 November and Time Warp New York on 21 November. The month closes with Milan, Ampere in Antwerp and a mountain date at Titlis in Engelberg.
December stays mostly in Europe: Document in Bristol on 4 December, Resistance at Drumsheds in London on 5 December and Pacha Munich on 11 December, with a Dubai date still to be confirmed before the Tokyo finale.
The Amsterdam stop is the one that breaks the pattern. On 18 November Väth presents Inner Horizon with Roman Flügel, an ambient live show, as part of Harmony, a new series of seated music ceremonies at the Gashouder running from 17 to 22 November with artists including Jon Hopkins. It is a deliberate step away from the peak time booth, in a room most people know for long techno nights.
For artists and managers there are two lessons. First, the tour mixes very different formats, from club basements and festivals to an ambient listening concert, under one name. A clear tour brand lets promoters sell very different shows as part of one story. Second, the routing clusters dates by region, Latin America in one block and the UK in another, which keeps travel costs and fatigue under control while still covering a lot of ground.
For bookers, Väth's ambient slot is a sign that established techno names are open to seated, lower volume formats outside the club. That is worth remembering when programming conference weeks, museum nights or winter series that need a headliner without a dancefloor. Dates can still change, so check Cocoon's official tour page and each venue before booking travel.
