Nyege Nyege lands in Europe: MIRROR WORLD debuts in Brussels this September

In one line

Nyege Nyege, the Ugandan festival and label, announced MIRROR WORLD, its first European festival, running September 25 and 26, 2026 at Studio CityGate and La Fabriek in Brussels. Over 40 artists play across three stages, with two-day tickets at 30 euros.

The most influential festival in East African electronic music is opening a European outpost. Nyege Nyege announced MIRROR WORLD, a two-day Brussels edition running September 25 and 26 across Studio CityGate and La Fabriek, the organisation's first event on the continent since it was founded in 2015.

More than 40 artists will play across three stages, but the programming reads wider than a club lineup: concerts, performances, talks, exhibitions, visual art and screenings, curated with artist and poet Eden Tinto Collins and booking agency Liquiid.

The festival describes itself as "anti-linear, anti-headliner fetish, community-rooted and radically accessible," and for once the ticket price agrees with the press release: 30 euros for the full weekend, in a European market where single club nights routinely cost more.

The team says a small home in Brussels will gather its European community and create room to showcase new artists. Full lineup announcements arrive in the coming months, and given Nyege Nyege's track record as a talent pipeline, those names will be worth reading closely.
