GALA 2027 first names: Four Tet, Blawan, HAAi and Chez Damier for 'The House We Keep'
GALA has announced the first wave for its 2027 edition at Peckham Rye Park in south London, running from Friday 28 to Sunday 30 May. Four Tet headlines Friday alongside Shy FX and Blawan, HAAi and Egyptian Lover lead Saturday, and Chez Damier plays Sunday. The theme, The House We Keep, celebrates house music's roots.
GALA has revealed the first names for its 2027 edition, and the south London festival is leaning harder into house music history than ever. The 11th edition returns to Peckham Rye Park over the late May bank holiday weekend, from Friday 28 to Sunday 30 May, under a theme called The House We Keep, a celebration of house and rave culture and the sound's roots in New York and Chicago.
Four Tet is the headline name, leading a Friday that is heavier on bass than the theme might suggest. He is joined by Shy FX, Blawan, Oppidan, Introspekt, and Benji B with Judah. Saturday is the club day, with HAAi, Egyptian Lover, Angel D'Lite, Peach, Freakenstein, and Ogazón with Ryan Elliott. Chez Damier, one of the Chicago and Detroit figures the theme points to, plays the Sunday.
DJ Harvey hosts the GALA Pleasure Dome, and Antal with Hunee, Skin On Skin and Moxie are also in the first wave. Stage takeovers come from Rinse, Deviation, HVYWGHT, Adonis and Dreamland, which gives the festival the crew led feel that has kept it close to London's club scene rather than the commercial festival circuit. Coverage of the full billing still varies slightly between outlets, so treat this as a first wave, with more names to come.
Tickets are not on general sale yet. Fans can register for a presale through the festival's official channels, and no 2027 prices have been published.
For artists and agents, GALA is a useful reference for how a mid sized city festival books. A named theme gives the programme a story, takeovers by labels and radio platforms bring their own audiences, and day by day sound identities make it easy for a crowd to choose. Acts in house, breaks and the harder edges of UK techno will also note that Blawan sits on the same day as Four Tet: this festival books on sound, not on genre labels.
If you are pitching for a 2027 London slot, the takeover model is the realistic route in. Promoters fill those stages through the crews they trust, so a relationship with a label or radio platform that already hosts a stage is worth more than a cold email to the festival.
