An Apple Music slip reveals Eric Prydz's first Lycka Recordings single
A preview link that briefly appeared on Apple Music revealed 'Heavy', the debut single on Eric Prydz's new label Lycka Recordings, dated October 30, 2026. It is his first release under the main Eric Prydz alias in six years and the first home built specifically for that name.
The most reliable leak source in dance music remains a streaming service shipping a page early. On June 10, a preview link for 'Heavy' surfaced on Apple Music and vanished just as fast, but not before confirming what Eric Prydz fans have chased since Ultra Miami: the first release on his new label Lycka Recordings, dated October 30, 2026.
Lycka, Swedish for happiness, was announced in April on episode 27 of EPIC Radio, the show Prydz brought back in March after a six-year break. The imprint completes a tidy structure: Pryda Recordings carries the melodic progressive material, Mouseville houses the Cirez D techno alias, and Lycka becomes the first dedicated home for records under his own name.
That detail matters more than it sounds. The main alias has spent its biggest moments on other people's labels: 'NOPUS' went through Ministry of Sound in 2020, and the lone album 'OPUS' through Virgin. 'Heavy' is the first Eric Prydz single in six years, and the first one he fully owns.
The track itself premiered as the opener of EPIC Radio episode 26, then opened his Ultra Miami set while the ID hunters scrambled. It leans hard into vocals, a clear departure from the stripped catalog of recent years. On the same episode, Prydz also teased that more Swedish House Mafia collaborations could be coming. October 30 suddenly looks like a date worth circling.
