EDSea 2027 lineup: VTSS, Clara Cuvé and Adrián Mills bring hard techno onto Insomniac's cruise
Insomniac has announced the EDSea 2027 lineup for its fourth cruise, sailing 26 to 31 January 2027 on the Norwegian Joy from Port Miami to Harvest Caye, Belize. Diplo, Fatboy Slim, Boys Noize, SLANDER and NGHTMRE lead a bill of more than 50 artists, with VTSS, Clara Cuvé, Adrián Mills, Rommii and DJ Guestlist on the harder side.
Insomniac has revealed the lineup for EDSea 2027, the fourth edition of its festival at sea, and the most interesting part for European club music sits a little below the headliners. Alongside Diplo, Fatboy Slim, SLANDER and NGHTMRE, the bill includes VTSS, Clara Cuvé, Adrián Mills, Rommii and DJ Guestlist, a run of hard techno and hardgroove names that would look at home on a warehouse flyer in Berlin or Amsterdam.
The cruise sails from 26 to 31 January 2027 on Norwegian Cruise Line's Norwegian Joy, a five night round trip from Port Miami to Harvest Caye in Belize. More than 50 artists are booked. Chris Lorenzo, Crankdat, Max Styler and Tape B are also near the top of the bill, and Boys Noize is set for an island set at Harvest Caye, with the 2027 edition giving more time ashore for headline programming. Further down, the lineup includes Layton Giordani, San Holo, Friction, Bou, Jai Wolf, Matroda, Justin Martin and Elvis Guetta.
Putting a Polish hard techno artist like VTSS and a French hardgroove DJ like Clara Cuvé on a cruise built around bass and big room acts says a lot about how far the faster end of techno now reaches into the American festival mainstream. A few years ago these names would have been booked for club shows in New York or Los Angeles, not for a festival that sells itself on headliners like Diplo and SLANDER.
Fans without a cabin can sign up for Insomniac's First Available Program, through which cabins can become available in the months before departure.
For artists and managers, a cruise booking is its own kind of deal. Sets happen at sea for several days, travel runs through a single US port, and the artist is effectively unavailable for any other date that week. That makes late January, normally a quieter month in the European club calendar, a sensible window for a European act to spend on a high visibility American booking. If you are routing a techno artist through North America in early 2027, check radius and exclusivity clauses with any US promoters you are already talking to, because a week on EDSea will sit right in the middle of that conversation.
